How to use it?
Step 1. Connect the 12V battery, red clips to positive pole and black clips to negative pole.
Step 2. Battery Test: Firstly select the type of battery to be tested, then the test criteria and the test range, and then you have the results within few seconds.
Step 3. Cranking Test: After selecting the cranking test function, follow the prompts to start the engine. Test completed.

1.Can this test for a battery drain as well as current battery output?
The meter performs the following primary tests: 1.System voltage: 12 Volts; 2.Test Results: Good, Recharge or Replace; 3.Capacity – Cold Cranking Amps (CCA); 4.Internal resistance value (mΩ); 5.Life in percentage (%); 6.Cranking system testing; 7.Charging system testing; 8.Voltage test in waveform; and 9.Record and re-play battery data. I’ve used it in several vehicles and on batteries to determine the status, and so far it has performed very well for me. I think the first seven points above will meet your need.
2.I have 8 different batteries that are all 12V 35aH. how will this allow me to rank the batteries from best to worst for health/age?
You can use KW208 to test it, it will show you each battery’s health status in percentage.
3.Need much more info how soh, soc, and cca are used to determine battery health. What are the cut offs? Example is soh 55% bad?
As a rule of thumb, <80% SOH it’s time to replace the battery. For SOC, generally you want to see at least 50%, preferably more than 80%. Both of those limits are arbitrary though. There’s no magic number – – – it depends on the application.CCA is the amps a battery can support for 30 seconds @ 0* F. It should match the battery rating.
